You’ve probably heard of the Burlesque revival even if you don’t know what it is. And if you haven’t then (assuming you want to), come back to this planet, sit down and listen up… ;)

I did it at Number Seven, Seaview Road, Bexhill, and I was thirteen.
That was Grandma Maude’s house and I had spent a week there every summer since before I could remember, so mum could get all her DIY done. She was rather fanatical about it and at the end of the week, I’d often come home to find a room or two changed beyond recognition. I never understood why the week needed to be spent with Grandma Maude though. My endless question “but why?” was answered with a vague “I need you out of the way”.
